12 Charities, 12 Months | Volkswagen Fall River

This month, we are once again proud to support the Maddox J. Almeida Foundation. This important foundation raises money to support families of children battling cancer. They hope to provide support and reduce the financial burden families face during these difficult times. The Maddox J. Almeida Foundation was created to honor the memory of Maddox Almeida who lost his battle with cancer.  Volkswagen Fall River is happy to donate to such a meaningful cause.

To start 2026, we are happy to donate to the Greater Fall River Community Food Pantry. The food pantry started as a soup kitchen and grew into one of Southeast Massachusetts' largest hunger relief providers. The Greater Fall River Community Food Pantry provides free distribution of food to residents of Fall River, and the seven surrounding communities. Volkswagen Fall River is proud to support this wonderful community service.

This month, we have donated to Durfee High School's Spirit Stop. This donation will help promote school spirit during the high school's sports seasons.  We are happy to support the school spirit.

This September we are sponsoring the City of Fall River's Community Nature Walks. We were happy to present Mayor Paul Coogan with our donation. There are two walks on Saturday, September 20th, and two additional community walks on Saturday, September 27. Space is limited and sign up is required with the City of Fall River. Audi/VW of Fall River is proud to help support these important community events for Fall River & the surrounding areas.

This month, VW of Fall River are proud sponsors of the Tom Tetrault Memorial Golf Tournament. This tournament honors Tom and his passion for helping youth better themselves in the game of golf. The Tom Tetrault scholarship is awarded each year to students between ages 7-16, from the greater Fall River area. We are happy to help sponsor such an important event.

For the month of May, we are proud to support The Katie Brown Educational Golf Tournament. The money raised at the tournament supports educational programs. KBEP helps students in the greater Fall River area. Since it began, KBEP educators have reached thousands of students in hundreds of classrooms in Southeastern New England. They also organize and facilitate workshops for parents and other concerned adults. These workshops focus on recognition and prevention skills, response techniques, and resources available in the community. VW of Fall River are glad to sponsor KBEP Longest Drive to help raise funds for such an important community resource.

We are proud to donate to the YMCA Southcoast's Full Plate Project this month. The YMCA strengthens communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Their Full Plate Project focuses on getting healthy food to those in need. This project started in 2020 and has grown into one of the largest hunger relief agencies in the south coast region. VW of Fall River s proud to support this important community outreach program.

VW of Fall River is proud to support the Katie Brown Educational Program in 2024. The Katie Brown Educational Program's mission is to educate people about relationship violence and promote respectful relationships. The KBEP believes that education can lead to permanent changes in attitudes and behaviors. Their goal is to empower young people to stand up for themselves without resorting to violence. VW of Fall River hopes to further their efforts through this donation.

This October, VW of Fall River is happy to support the Diman Vocational Tech High School with a $1,200 donation towards its programs. VW of Fall River believes in the importance of education and community, and is proud to support local schools.

Audi & VW of Fall River are a proud sponsor of the 2Nd Annual Tom Tetrault Memorial Golf Tournament & Scholarship. The Tom Tetrault Scholarship honors Tom Tetrault and his devotion to help young people develop a passion for the game of golf.  The scholarship is awarded to students between the ages of 7 -16 from the Fall River Area to help them learn and grow in the game of golf. Audi & VW of Fall River are proud to donate to this cause.

At Audi & Volkswagen Fall River, we're committed to driving positive change, not just on the roads, but in the hearts of our community. We're honored to support Forever Paws, a beacon of hope for animals in need, serving Fall River and New Bedford. Our donation is a testament to our belief in their mission to provide shelter, care, and a new lease on life for homeless and endangered animals. Together, we're steering towards a brighter future for all living beings, ensuring every animal finds a loving home and the compassion they deserve.

For the month of January, Audi & VW Fall River partnered up and donated to Gates of Hope. Gates of Hope is a hunger relief organization that provides food, pet food, and clothing assistance to the Greater Fall River and surrounding areas.

 For the month of September, Audi & VW Fall River partnered up and donated to Ser Jobs for Progress of Fall River. Ser Jobs For Progess' mission is to educate and enhance the lives of the students we are charged to educate and to leave the world a little better than we found it.

For the month of July, Audi & VW Fall River were proud 2023 sponsors of the Durfee High School Hilltoppers Football Team! The Durfee High School Football program will develop great football players through the development of life skills including integrity, honesty, and fair play while building personal confidence and self-esteem. Go Durfee Hilltoppers! 

Angels Anonymous

For the month of May, we were honored to partner up with and donate to Angels Anonymous. Angels Anonymous strives to improve the quality of life for all those living in the city of Fall River Massachusetts and in surrounding communities. Services include (but are not limited to) a monthly food pantry, neighborhood cleanups/community restoration projects, charitable drives, holiday assistance, LGBTQ events, and donations.

Maddox J. Almeida Foundation

In March, we were honored to connect and support the Maddox J. Almeida Foundation. The Maddox J. Almedia Foundation was created in memory of a sweet boy who was diagnosed with cancer at the young age of 4 and lost his battle a short 7 months later. The goal of the foundation is to provide financial assistance to families of children diagnosed with cancer and alleviate just one of the many burdens they are facing.
